A large fish "sunfish" with a body length of about 4 meters was photographed off the coast of Iriomote Island in Okinawa Prefecture, and experts say that it is rare to be photographed clearly in Okinawa.

The picture was taken by a male staff member of a diving shop in Ishigaki City, Okinawa Prefecture, and the video clearly captures a sunfish about 4 meters long swimming.

It was shot about 1 km off the uninhabited island west of Iriomote Island in Okinawa Prefecture on the 12th of this month, and the shooting time is about 17 seconds.

When I asked an expert to check the image, it seems that what is reflected is the "Mola alexandrin" because of the shape of the fin like a tail fin.

Mr. Ryo Hamada, who took the picture, said, "I think I was lucky to be able to see the sunfish with all the customers and staff."

Mr. Tamaki Shimose of the National Research and Development Corporation Fisheries Research and Education Organization Nagasaki Government Building, who confirmed the video, said, "Several cases of landing by fishermen have been recorded in Okinawa Prefecture, but in places like this time in shallow water in Okinawa. It's rare to see them swimming, and I think it's very valuable to be able to shoot clearly. "
