According to the Algerian newspaper, "An-Nahar", the incident is due to the organization of a local association, a concert by a singer named Tawus Arhab, which began last Saturday evening, after Tarawih prayers.

According to video clips, the ceremony was held in a square located in the center of the city of Amchdala in the province of Bouira, in a place near a mosque and a number of public facilities and facilities in the city.

The newspaper quoted eyewitnesses, that about an hour after the start of the concert, the audience heard a voice from the mosque, which later turned out to be the voice of the imam of the mosque, speaking through a loudspeaker, describing those at the party with offensive descriptions.

Immediately, the police intervened and tried to calm the anger of the attendees at the party.

The newspaper "Al-Shorouk" quoted the imam of the mosque as saying, according to the Algerian newspaper, "An-Nahar", that the incident was due to the organization of a local association, a concert for a singer named Tawus Arhab, which began last Saturday evening after Tarawih prayers.

He "was in a state of anger and excitement" for the late night concert in a courtyard adjacent to the mosque.

He added that he tried with the municipal authorities to change the venue of the ceremony, to no avail.
