China News Service, Wuhan, April 18 (Cheng Qiuxia and Gong Yuxi) Ms. Xie, who was 36 weeks and 2 days pregnant, recently gave birth to "triplets" after a caesarean section at the People's Hospital of Wuhan University.

"Finally meeting them, it's not easy!" When the nurse held the three babies to Ms. Xie's side, her eyes were red with excitement.

Ms. Xie from Henan is 28 years old this year. She has given birth twice before, with a son and a daughter.

In October last year, Ms. Xie became pregnant again with triplets.

What is even more surprising is that Ms. Xie did not use high-tech aids such as IVF to conceive, but conceived naturally.

In the first trimester, Ms. Xie developed hypothyroidism, which adversely affects the health of the mother and the growth and development of the fetus.

"At that time, I was really at a loss. The doctor in the hospital suggested me to reduce the pregnancy and told me that the third pregnancy itself was very difficult and risky, and there would be more problems in the future." Ms. Xie said.

But not willing to give up the little life bestowed by God like this, Ms. Xie and her family found Fan Cuifang, director of the obstetrics department of the People's Hospital of Wuhan University, after consulting around.

According to Fan Cuifang, from a medical point of view, triplet pregnancy is more harmful to pregnant women, and it is easy to cause complications such as hypertension, diabetes, hemorrhage, and polyhydramnios. It is a high-risk pregnancy.

However, Ms. Xie and her family's determination to give birth to a child deeply moved Fan Cuifang. She formulated a detailed individualized inspection plan for Ms. Xie.

Under the care of the obstetrics team, Ms. Xie went through all the difficulties, and in the last 4 months of pregnancy, she was basically in bed to protect the fetus.

Until April 16th, Ms. Xie kept the miscarriage until 36 weeks and 2 days. Fan Cuifang's team performed a caesarean section for Ms. Xie.

What is gratifying is that the triplets did not have the low weight that is common in multiple births, but all had ruddy faces, weighing 4.9 catties, 5.5 catties, and 5.2 catties respectively.

"Natural triplets are very rare, and it's even rarer for triplets to last to full term. Besides, the three children are all so healthy, and the mother's condition is also very good." Fan Cuifang also smiled while holding the three little babies. Have to shut up.
