China News Service, April 18. According to the official Weibo news of the People's Government of Nanqiao Town, Fengxian District, Shanghai, the Haohai Community Residents Committee of Nanqiao Town issued a situation statement on the 18th, saying that on April 16th, a netizen said that "Liaoning donated to Shanghai." The materials were wasted and thrown into the trash." The Haohai Community Neighborhood Committee of Nanqiao Town learned about the situation at the first time, found that it was not the case, and explained the relevant situation:

On April 14, the Haohai Community Neighborhood Committee of Nanqiao Town received 80 materials donated by Liaoning Province. This batch of materials was used to distribute to families in difficulties such as low-income, severely disabled, and key special care recipients.

In order to ensure that fresh vegetables can be delivered to the residents and ensure food safety, the Haohai Community Neighborhood Committee of Nanqiao Town arranged for volunteers to sort out each vegetable gift package. Vegetables such as sprouted potatoes, crushed tomatoes, rotting cucumbers and cabbage are picked out for disposal.

The Haohai Community Neighborhood Committee of Nanqiao Town distributed all the sorted vegetables to families in need, while the rotten vegetables were thrown into the trash can for disposal.

We sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding caused by residents because the original packaging plastic bags were used when sorting the spoiled vegetables, and the handling method was not appropriate.

The Haohai Community Neighborhood Committee of Nanqiao Town stated that it will further strengthen the management of donated materials in the future, and standardize the distribution process to ensure that the materials are delivered to the residents who really need them as soon as possible, and every material will not be wasted!
