Did Amr Diab receive 16 million pounds for an advertisement for "Egyptian Post"?!

Rumors spread on social media that the artist, Amr Diab, would receive a fabulous wage, in exchange for his participation in the Egyptian Post advertisement, with his song "The Secret", which topped the trend of the communication sites.

Some of the pioneers of social networking sites said that the Post Authority paid huge sums of money from the state treasury to present an advertisement that tells of Amr Diab's journey, known as "The Plateau", instead of announcing the mail itself, especially since the advertisement did not reveal any services related to the mail itself.

Some observers denounced spending in the millions on an incomprehensible advertisement, in light of the absence of competitors for the Postal Authority in Egypt from the ground up, which essentially negates the need for advertisements.

And it was reported on social media that a lawyer submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor, requesting an investigation with the leaders of the Egyptian Post Authority on charges of wasting public money, on an advertisement promoting Amr Diab.

The head of the National Post Authority, Dr. Sherif Farouk, denied what was circulated about the artist Amr Diab receiving an amount of up to 16 million pounds, in return for making the authority's announcements, which are broadcast during the holy month of Ramadan.

Dr. Sherif Farouk confirmed that this amount is exaggerated, denying at the same time the existence of briefing requests in this regard, after he communicated with Representative Ahmed Badawy, head of the Communications Committee in the House of Representatives, and made sure that requests for briefing did not reach the committee.

The spokesperson for the Egyptian Postal Authority, Hatem Al-Souli, confirmed that what was circulated about Amr Diab's receiving 16 million pounds in the advertisement is false, and he refused to disclose the amount that Amr Diab received, claiming that this may cause disputes with the singer, but he was satisfied that the number that Amr Diab received It charges much less than rolling too.
