A group of young people renting a house in Shanghai, subsidizing money to be the head of the group

Even if I'm just a match, I'm still willing to light myself

This spring, due to the spread of the new crown epidemic, Shanghai seems to be frozen.

The long-term lockdown has forced many communities to purchase necessities in the form of group purchases.

Therefore, the head of the Shanghai delegation has become a crowd that has attracted much attention in this war epidemic.

On the evening of April 10, the big screen on the Bund in Shanghai displayed the slogan "Come on Shanghai".

Some people joked that this is the Shanghai version of "my regiment leader my regiment".

At the same time, some people questioned: Under the epidemic, there is no huge profit, why should I be the head of the group?

Chinanews.com interviewed three young people who are team leaders in a community in Hongkou, Shanghai.

  The following are their self-reports:

Is the head of the Shanghai delegation very profitable?

It's fine if you don't lose money

My name is Persimmon, born in 1995, from Sichuan, I am a designer.

Being the head of the group will be an unforgettable memory in my life.

I stare at my phone from morning to night, jumping around in various groups, communicating with residents, team leaders, volunteers, and suppliers, inquiring about logistics, and sorting out order information. I am very busy.

Sometimes when I take a breath, I think, I'm just a tenant who has only moved to this neighborhood for three months.

I heard that everyone thinks that the head of the Shanghai delegation is very profitable?

But it would be good for our non-governmental volunteer team not to lose money.

I have experienced residents' incomprehension, and also experienced "bad reviews" due to slow logistics, insufficient vegetables, stale vegetables, too many potatoes, too many carrots, and garlic.

We will collect information and feed it back to the supplier, and sometimes we simply divide our own vegetables, and when we choose a supplier next time, we will no longer cooperate with him.

In the group of residents, there are often elderly people who can’t use mobile phones who want to buy things in a group. When everyone sees it, they will take screenshots to teach them. Many enthusiastic people give us the remarks for group purchases: “Buy for the elderly next door, the elderly don’t know how to use mobile phones.”

Later, we collected a list of elderly people who could not use mobile phones or group purchases from the residents, and focused on them in the delivery of materials.

Two days ago, I also received a note from a neighbor's child, and I cried directly.

This note reminds me that during the epidemic, children also need help, but the help for them is not as simple as buying them something. I hope the epidemic will end soon and they can do what they want, such as meeting my cat.

It is really not easy to be the head of the group. The reason why I choose to do it is because if one day, my parents encounter the same situation, they also hope that a group of young people will bravely stand up and organize these things.

Just need it, it's chai rice oil salt sauce vinegar tea

Just in need, but also everyone who cannot be ignored

My name is Xu Nuo, a girl from Shandong, my home is in Beijing, and I came to Shanghai because of work transfer.

Originally, I planned to go back to Beijing to get engaged in April. When the epidemic happened, I was in Beijing, but I chose to come back to take care of the small animals at home in Shanghai.

Since the closure of the community, I have been doing volunteer services. I originally wanted to apply to be a dog walking volunteer, but was rejected.

Later, I went to be a nucleic acid volunteer, and now I am the initiator of group buying in the whole community. When I think about it, I have mixed feelings, because no one believes that we do not make money.

Our group buying groups are called "just-needed groups", hoping to help those who really need help.

  What is just need?

Just in need, it is chai, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar, tea, meat and eggs to maintain everyone's immunity, and vegetables that can be stored more easily.

Just in need are those elderly people living alone in each building who need to be taken care of, and new mothers who are short of milk powder and diapers.

We are not afraid to move rice, as long as everyone really needs it, even if one person buys a dozen bags at a time.

We are not afraid that everyone wants to eat meat, which can improve everyone's immunity, but we are afraid that some people want to eat chicken breasts, some people want to eat chicken wings, and some people want to eat chicken legs.

We are not afraid that everyone wants to eat eggs, eggs are absolutely needed!

But we are afraid that everyone will not understand. The chickens in Shanghai can't lay eggs. Most of the eggs that can be purchased and distributed in groups must be distributed with vegetables.

We are not afraid of hard work, but we are afraid that everyone will loot the supplies, that everyone will not obey the call of the volunteers to go downstairs to get the goods privately, that it will be difficult for everyone to talk, and even more afraid that everyone will say, "You are making money from your own channels to supply supplies!"

Thank You Letters and Supplies from Neighbors

In order to integrate the chaos of group buying in the community, our volunteers have to work at least 15 hours a day. Some people only slept for 4 hours once in three days, and only had one meal a day.

We have collected a list of the elderly living alone in the community and families with difficulties in living without group buying. Many kind-hearted neighbors asked us to send soup buns and other foods that are convenient for the elderly to eat. A section of "For Alice" to our volunteers.

When I came home from a busy day, I saw the scarce supplies (drinks, biscuits, egg yolk pastry) left by the neighbors in front of my house, and tears fell in an instant... It was such a lovely group of people, when we wanted to give up countless times, we stopped us.

Although I plan to move back to Beijing after the epidemic, I am still willing to let go of everything to support everyone. I hope everyone will be happier and have some sense of security.

Even if I am just a match, I am still willing to light myself.

lost sleep, gained companion

My name is Beibei and I am an HR.

I am not the owner, just a tenant.

I don't think I'm the head of the group, I'm just a volunteer.

I joined at first because the old people in the building couldn't buy vegetables. There were many old people in the building where I lived, and no one knew about the community group, so I went to ask.

Unexpectedly, the first night I joined, I worked directly until after one o'clock in the morning.

On that day, we sorted out the first procurement and distribution process rules.

Also since that day, I haven't slept a full sleep.

There may be some group leaders who will make money, but we are volunteers, and some group leaders will even advance funds. It is inevitable to lose money. There should be very few volunteers who will not lose money.

When I meet an elderly person who can't use a smartphone, I will confirm the other party's information and send some supplies directly from time to time.

To be honest, no one will always be satisfied with the group-buy supplies.

Price, category, content, and purchasing power will all become points of dissatisfaction.

The only way is to continue to improve, it is really impossible to even out my own.

During this pandemic, I have been touched many times.

I was touched by the residents, when our protective suits were not enough, many people donated money.

I was touched by the volunteers. When they were misunderstood, they said that it was okay to disband the group, but they continued to collect demand information while calling the supplier to confirm the price.

I was touched by the delivery rider Xiao He. We all call him He Xia because he has the demeanor of a hero.

Every day he takes the biggest risk outside, delivering from building to building.

And my next-door neighbor, my brother, who was not a volunteer at first, and finally joined for no apparent reason. He may have experienced the epidemic in Hubei.

He could wait outside until one o'clock in the middle of the night.

The reason why I am still insisting is because of the trust of those fundraisers, and every word of thanks to you, the tears of the old man.

And I actually met a group of "idiots" in an unfamiliar community, like spiritual pillars, encouraging each other and warming each other, it's nice.
