Djemilatou is the only midwife in the maternity ward of Gando, a village in the far north of Togo.

The first episode of the podcast “Carnet de santé” is dedicated to him.

Djemilatou works 600 kilometers from the capital Lomé, where her husband and son live.

Came to Gando 8 years ago for a " 

volunteering

 " supposed to be temporary, she never left: " 

When I arrived, I saw that the babies were dying here And I made this decision to fix that: to save the babies, save moms.

Charlie Dupiot followed her in her daily life, between childbirth and prenatal consultations.
