A Lebanese man kills his lame brother because of a dispute between the boys!

A gruesome crime shook northern Lebanon on Saturday morning, when a crippled 60-year-old man was killed by his younger brother, who was shot by a military weapon.

The crime took place in the locality of Talat Al Dahab in the Abu Samra area, one of the suburbs of the Lebanese city of Tripoli.

A relative of the dead man said that our conversation happened on Friday night between the two brothers’ sons, and on Saturday morning it turned into a quarrel and shooting, which led to the killing of Hussein Muhammad Al-Hajj by the bullets of his 45-year-old brother, Salah.

The source added: "The dead man has been ill for years and unable to move his limbs due to a disease in the arteries of the brain, and we are surprised by the way he was killed by his younger brother. On this Ramadan day, the region and the family woke up to a reprehensible and surprising crime at the same time."

Eyewitnesses in the area said, according to "Sky News Arabia", that the mother of the perpetrator and the victim is still alive, and she is grieving for what happened between her two sons, and that the security forces came to the place, but they did not find the killer who fled with his children to an unknown destination. After he was living in the same building with his family and his slain brother.

Lebanon has witnessed several crimes recently, as illegal weapons spread among the population.

The Lebanese are afraid of the increase in the number of armed problems in recent times, and the ease with which many use weapons in family and clan disputes, sometimes for trivial reasons.

On the other hand, security sources confirm that "the security is disciplined and the forces are able to control any security event, carry out arrests and conduct the necessary investigations."

The source indicated that the arrests carried out by the security forces in 2021 increased by 5 percent compared to 2020, stressing that "the security forces are the party that keeps the country resilient at this stage."

He added: "Patrols go around the clock in all areas and carry out operations very quickly, and despite the impact on the economic situation, the security forces are ready to pursue and arrest all violators."
