Sheikh Abdul Alim and Umm Bashir: He asked for her hand in marriage, which sparked outrage from the communication platforms!

The Syrian actress, Sahar Fawzi, commented on the controversy and sarcasm that accompanied her scene with the artist, Adel Ali, in the series Bab Al-Hara 12.

Where the scene of Sheikh Abdul Alim's meeting with Umm Bashir in front of her house in order to ask for her hand in marriage was subjected to a whirlwind of criticism and ridicule on the communication platforms.

Fawzi saw in an interview monitored by the Trend platform that the controversy over the scene is unjustified, because it is a very ordinary scene and situation that does not need all that fuss.

Sahar said: “First of all, the scene from a series. Secondly, if he is an old man, does he not have the right to marry a widow?

I don't know why all the fuss and the responses."

She continued by saying: "She is a widow and he is a man, and according to Islamic law, he is entitled to marry. I consider that the issue has taken on more than its size."

Adel Ali had responded to the criticism and described the scene by some as "Sheikh Abdel-Alim's application of Umm Bashir."

Ali said that the sheikh's intention towards Umm Bashir was sound, as he wanted to hear from her the answer to his request for his hand for her, and his meeting with her was not for the sake of entertainment.

He also emphasized that the person who is planning to marry has the right to see his fiancée, indicating that he met her through the mediation of the warm-hearted midwife, Umm Zaki, in order to take the answer to her request.

It is noteworthy that people leaked several episodes of the series before it was shown, which prompted the company to pursue them through the judiciary.
