Zhao Lijian said that according to the latest information from the Chinese Consulate General in New York, a Chinese citizen was injured in the New York City subway shooting.
The consulate general has contacted the families of the injured as soon as possible to provide assistance.
The injured are currently receiving treatment at the hospital and are in stable condition.
Zhao Lijian said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate-General in New York will continue to closely follow the situation of Chinese citizens and provide consular protection and assistance in a timely manner.
