The list of Kinder products recalled for suspected presence of salmonella has just grown.

The Advent calendars of the brand are now also concerned, indicates Rappel Conso.

These are the 2021 Christmas Advent Calendars 431 g, 133 g, 184 g, 311 g, 234 g and 127 g.

They were sold all over France.

As with the other recalled products, it is recommended that they not be consumed.

"Food poisoning caused by salmonella results in gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, vomiting) of sudden onset often accompanied by fever and headaches which generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consumption of the contaminated products. “says Rappel Conso.

In case of symptoms, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

Young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised subjects and the elderly must be particularly vigilant.

Salmonella contamination had already been detected by Ferrero in December, at the Arlon site in Belgium.

"All finished and semi-finished products that were manufactured in this factory in the five days leading up to December 15 have been blocked," assured the chocolate maker, Thursday, April 7.

For the NGO Foodwatch, "the holiday season is auspicious for Ferrero who obviously preferred to try everything for everything and not proceed with a withdrawal-recall at that time", judged the NGO in a press release, this Wednesday.

As of April 8, 150 cases of salmonellosis had been identified in the nine European countries where the chocolates were distributed.
