Editor's note:

Every Chinese who works hard to live is the most beautiful struggler.

It is precisely because of hundreds of millions of strugglers that China is today.

For ten years, pay tribute to every struggle of you.

Let us work together to forge ahead in the new era, and work hard towards the future.

[Explanation] In northern China in April, the ice and snow on the Hulun Buir grassland has not yet melted, but it is the season for herdsmen to pick up spring lambs.

Siqin Batu, a herdsman in the eighth production team in Chaogang Town, Xinbarhu Zuoqi, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, couldn't hide his joy when he looked at the little lambs in the shed.

Recently, the "post-90s" herdsman told reporters his story of becoming a "new herdsman" on the grasslands in his family ranch.

[Explanation] Back in 2017, Siqin Batu, who graduated from university, quit his job in the city and returned to the depths of the grassland to start a modern family ranch.

He realized that the traditional animal husbandry using the free-range method put a lot of pressure on the grassland ecological environment, so he brought his sheep back to the shed for centralized feeding, and took the initiative to let his own 1,300 mu of grassland for recuperation.

At the same time, Schinbatu also replaced the traditional hay feeding with a new type of feed mixed with hay, soybean meal, corn kernels, soda and salt, which saves resources and reduces waste, and is more conducive to the digestion and absorption of livestock.

I was a child who grew up in the grasslands. As my parents got older, I watched our grasslands gradually degenerate due to the influence of the natural environment. When I was working and living, I suddenly thought, why not respond to the party and the At the call of the state, we have gradually realized mechanized farming, which can protect the grasslands and increase our economic benefits.

[Explanation] In the family ranch in Siqinbatu, crushers, spreaders, intelligent monitoring and various agricultural machinery are readily available.

Now he has more than 200 basic ewes, more than 80 cows, more than 30 horses, and has added more than 300 lambs this year.

Using modern mechanized farming methods, the feeding of hundreds of livestock can be done by only one person in two hours.

In 2021, the net profit of Siqin Batu's family ranch will reach nearly 900,000 yuan (RMB, the same below).

I set foot on the hot land of my hometown and engage in the industry I like. I hope that through my diligence and hard work, I can make my breeding industry bigger, more standardized and better. Together with the nearby herdsmen brothers, we will work together Develop common exchanges and live a good life together.

[Explanation] Nowadays, many young herdsmen, like Siqinbatu, have changed the traditional concept of farming and embarked on the road of mechanized and large-scale farming.

In the tenth production team of Wugang Town, the local herdsmen set up a pellet processing factory to grind grass roots and grass stems into pellets, which solved the problem of indigestion and waste of livestock, and made an annual profit of nearly one million yuan.

[Explanation] The reporter also learned in the interview that with the local government's emphasis on grassland protection and the change of herdsmen's breeding methods, various ecological indicators of Hulunbuir grassland have improved. Monitoring data show that from 2018 to 2021, Hulunbuir grassland comprehensive The vegetation coverage increased from 73.1% to 76.6%, the vegetation height increased from 30.82 cm to 36.69 cm, and the hay yield increased from 115.97 kg per mu to 126.66 kg per mu.
