Under the harassment of the epidemic, how about Hangzhou's "vegetable basket"?

The reporter visited supermarkets and vegetable bases several times. The supply of vegetables is sufficient, and the short-term price increase of all vegetables is mainly due to the decline of logistics efficiency.

At 10:00 am, the doorbell rang, and the dishes ordered in the morning arrived.

A few minutes later, Xiao Yao updated her circle of friends: lettuce, lettuce, corn, tofu, cola... all filled the small hall.

"It's almost enough food for a family of five for three days."

In recent days, in the circle of friends of Qianjiang Evening News reporters, there have been significantly more people buying vegetables, stockpiling food, and buying snacks.

As for the reason for hoarding, some people joked: I don't know why, but I just saw others hoarding, so I also hoard a little; It's very real, and I plan to prepare some goods for a rainy day.

So, in the Hangzhou market, are there any shortages of vegetables, meat and eggs?

Is the "vegetable basket" good to carry?

Will the price go up in the future?

The reporters of this newspaper were divided into several groups to understand the actual situation.

 Vegetable prices do rise

  Pork, egg prices stable

Recently, many citizens have clearly felt that the prices of some vegetables are rising.

In the Sanliting Hongmei Community Market, the reporter learned that green vegetables are now selling for 7.5 yuan a pound, and Maomao Cai has also risen to 7 to 7.5 yuan a pound.

"The first two days, Mao Maocai was only 6 yuan per pound," said a sister Li who often buys vegetables here.

In addition, cabbage costs more than 3 yuan a pound, and asparagus costs more than 10 yuan a pound.

The price of leafy vegetables has risen significantly, but the prices of pork and eggs have remained relatively stable.

Ms. Chai, the proprietress who sells pork, told reporters that the current price of pork belly is 16 yuan per pound, and the price of whole meat is 20 yuan per pound.

At this time in mid-April last year, Qian Bao reporters visited Wanshouting Farmers Market and Zhejiang Zhonghe Farmers Market. At that time, fresh pork belly at Wanshouting Farmers Market was 27 yuan per pound; fresh pork belly sold at Zhonghe Farmers Market was 25 yuan. A pound of whole meat is 28 yuan a pound, which is a lot more expensive than it is now.

Ms. Gao, the lady boss who sells eggs, said that ordinary eggs now sell for 6 yuan a pound.

Although the cost of feed has been a lot more expensive some time ago, and the cost of laying hens has even hit a record high, the price of eggs in the retail market has not changed much because the supply of eggs in general still exceeds the demand.

  Now things have changed.

Taking eggs as an example, Jiangsu has always been the main source of eggs in the Hangzhou market. However, due to the recent epidemic prevention and control, the supply of eggs produced in Jiangsu has decreased and the transportation cost has increased; the purchase price of eggs produced in Jiande has risen by 40 cents in the past five days. money.

In addition, the previous laying hen farmers suffered losses for two months, and the farmers eliminated a large number of hens that have passed the peak of egg production. The situation of oversupply has been reversed, and the supply and demand are basically in balance.

The situation with pork is different.

Zhang Hongliang, chairman of the Sanyuan Pig Professional Cooperative in Qujiang District, Quzhou City, told reporters that the price of pork has continued to decline recently.

"It has been falling this year. In January, the purchase price was still more than 9 yuan, in February it was more than 8 yuan, and in March, it was more than 7 yuan." And their breeding cost is between 8 yuan and 8.5 yuan per catty, that is It has been said that it has been losing money for two months so far, and there is no sign of a rebound.

The purchase price of farmland vegetables has dropped steadily

The stocking volume of supermarket stores is 1.5 to 2 times the usual

Zhou Zhanfeng, chairman of Hangzhou Yuhang Mengyuan Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., told reporters that because of the rapid rise in temperature in Hangzhou some time ago, seasonal vegetables such as lettuce, cauliflower, cabbage, and lettuce will be listed in large quantities.

"Purchasing prices for vegetables in the fields are steadily declining."

However, due to the impact of logistics, the supply of some cooperative vegetable bases was blocked, and the vegetables could not be delivered.

To this end, Aerospace Agriculture has increased its procurement efforts, and the daily supply has increased from about 140 tons last month (including vegetables and eggs) to the current 150 to 200 tons, mainly for the Hangzhou market.

At present, most of the bases for Yuhang Agriculture to purchase vegetables are in Zhejiang Province, and there is no problem in supplying the Hangzhou market.

"At the end of last month, the proportion of vegetables supplied by our own bases still accounted for nearly 50%, and now the proportion has dropped to 20% to 30%, which is also considering solving the sales problems of some vegetable bases." Zhou Zhanfeng said.

Yuhang Agriculture is also one of China Resources Vanguard's two major local vegetable suppliers, mainly supplying various seasonal leafy vegetables.

In addition, China Resources Vanguard also directly picks a large number of vegetables such as potatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and baby vegetables from southern Jiangsu, Shouguang, Shandong, and Yunnan to meet the rich food purchasing needs of Hangzhou residents.

"At present, the daily delivery volume of fresh food warehouses ranges from 200 tons to 250 tons, covering meat, eggs, vegetables and fruits, bread, and frozen commodities. Among them, the daily delivery volume of vegetables is about 100 tons." The relevant person in charge of China Resources Vanguard Said that the fresh food warehouse mainly supplies more than 70 stores in Hangzhou, Ningbo, Suzhou, Wuxi and other places.

In Century Lianhua Supermarket, the current stocking volume of each store has basically reached 1.5 to 2 times that of the usual day; at the same time, the store has also added 2 replenishments to ensure that the number of people's livelihood items is sufficient.

"Among all commodity categories, vegetables are the focus of attention, because the demand from consumers is very large, so the stock of vegetables is forced to increase." The relevant person in charge of Century Lianhua introduced.

Decrease in logistics efficiency and increase in logistics cost

Short-term impact on supply and prices

For fresh food supply, the bottleneck is still logistics.

Zhou Zhanfeng believes that the reason why citizens feel that the prices of vegetables in farmers' markets and supermarkets are rising is largely because of the impact of epidemic prevention and control, the efficiency of logistics has decreased, and the cost of logistics has increased.

The current epidemic situation has put forward higher prevention and control requirements for logistics and transportation, which has caused a shortage of drivers in some areas. The speed, efficiency and vehicle arrangement of logistics and transportation have been affected to varying degrees, but the overall supply is basically normal.

"It's not that the output is less, the harvesters and logistics are the main reasons." A relevant person in charge of the fresh food platform also explained that the fresh warehouses of the platform were under control before, so all logistics had to detour and then It is distributed to various sorting centers, and then distributed to home after sorting. In this way, although the overall supply is basically stable, the logistics and distribution time has become longer, so that the intuitive feeling to consumers is that the shelves are empty and the goods are less. "In fact, the current supply can basically meet the normal living needs of citizens, and there is no need to over-stock up."

Due to the decline in logistics efficiency, the 20 or 30 logistics vehicles owned by Aerospace Agriculture are stretched.

To this end, Aerospace Agriculture specially docked with a logistics company and borrowed 11 logistics vehicles from the logistics company to solve this problem.

With the gradual recovery of logistics, the subsequent delivery speed will also return to normal.
