On April 13, the first box girder of the Wuyi section of the Shanghai-Chongqing high-speed railway was successfully poured at the Zhongxiang beam making yard of the Shanghai-Chongqing High-speed Railway Wuyi Section of the China Railway Eleventh Bureau, which marked the official entry of the Shanghai-Chongqing high-speed railway into box girder prefabrication production. stage.

  Zhongxiang Beam Making Factory is located in Niujiangang Village, Lengshui Town, Zhongxiang City, Jingmen City, Hubei Province. It is mainly responsible for the prefabrication of 556 simply supported box beams for the Shanghai-Chongqing High-speed Railway. The construction started on December 16, 2021, with a planned construction period of 19 months.

  "The smooth prefabrication of the first box girders on the entire line has created favorable conditions for accelerating the construction of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu Railway." The person in charge of Zhongxiang's beam manufacturing field said that it is expected that all box girders prefabrication tasks will be completed by mid-August 2023.

  The Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu high-speed railway is the main part of the "Riverside Corridor" in China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
