According to reports, the snowfall effectively relieved the fire pressure of Saihanba in spring.
Saihanba Mechanical Forest Farm is located in the northernmost part of Hebei Province and the southern edge of the Hunshandake Sandy Land in the Inner Mongolia Plateau. It was established in 1962.
Over the past 60 years, the builders of the forest farm have built millions of acres of forests on the desert sandy land where "yellow sand covers the sky, and birds have no habitation trees", making it an important sand prevention barrier in the Beijing-Tianjin area.
