The town of Ivry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne) will replace the Gagarin city with a nursery that will bear the same name.

The trees that will be planted on the site will be connected in an original way to the emblematic building of the city, built in 1963. Some of the plants will indeed be sponsored by former occupants of the city.

The city therefore set out to find these inhabitants, says

A process of remembrance

She launched an appeal on Facebook for this at the beginning of the month.

Ivry-sur-Seine asked the former inhabitants to come forward "in memory of their city".

Those concerned and interested can send an email to contactrelationspubliques@ivry94.fr.

They must indicate their surname, first name, email address and telephone number as well as their former address in the city and their current address.

The future godfathers and godmothers of the trees of the Gagarin nursery will be invited on site once their plant godson is in place.

They will discover their tree and will be given a certificate.
