A 57-year-old resident was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder for throwing a bowling ball weighing more than 6 kilograms from the 4th floor of an apartment in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture.


No one was injured.


According to the police investigation, he denied some of the charges, saying that he had no murderous intentions.

The person who was arrested was a carpenter in Akashi City, Yu Shimizu (57).



Police said he was suspected of attempted murder on the night of the 10th of this month for throwing a bowling ball weighing 15 pounds and weighing approximately 6.7 kilograms from a passageway on the fourth floor of his apartment.



A clerk at a restaurant on the first floor of the condominium heard a loud "dawn" sound, and then a ball was found in a nearby gutter.



No one was injured.



According to police, the suspect has denied some of the charges, saying, "I'm sure I threw the ball, but I have no murderous intentions."
