A video provokes anger in Kuwait.. A person assaults an elderly person, and the Ministry of the Interior intervenes
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior arrested a person who appeared in a video clip beating an elderly person in a consumer association.
The ministry said, on Wednesday, that it had arrested the man, who has a history, and charged him with assault, "for assaulting a citizen and residents of Asian nationality in one of the branches of cooperative societies in the Ahmadi Governorate."
She added, "After inquiring about him, it became clear that he is one of the precedents and has been registered against him in several cases, and he was referred to the competent authority to take legal measures against him."
The video spread on social media, and sparked popular anger, especially during the month of Ramadan.
