The Loiret is currently testing a mechanism to help the population with administrative procedures and access to public services.

This system, never before seen in the department, is offered in the form of a small truck traveling in certain municipalities.

The trial initially concerns the Community of communes of Les Loges (Loiret), specifies France Bleu Orléans.

One truck, two pieces

Called France services, the van covers 20 rural municipalities.

Two villages are visited every day between 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. or between 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The system is particularly useful for residents who have neither means of transport nor an Internet connection.

Inside the bus, two rooms are fitted out.

They are equipped with computers, tablets, printers and telephones, as well as a videoconferencing terminal connected to the partner administrations of France services.

“There is a very important social role”, also estimated Hélène Coubret, an administrative assistant participating in the device.
