The terms of access to the six recycling centers in the Ardennes metropolis will be different from June 1, the president of the territory, Boris Ravignon, announced on Tuesday.

It will then be necessary to present a pass to be able to enter these sites of the agglomeration community grouping together around sixty municipalities, including Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes).

“A pretty big scam”

A similar control system already exists in other regions.

Boris Ravignon explained that he was going to be put in place in his metropolis in order to put an end to "a pretty big scam".

It thus refers to the free use of recycling centers by professionals who are nevertheless supposed to pay a tax for each deposit.

Only 25,000 euros have been collected each year for this participation since 2014. At the same time, the volume of waste deposited by professionals has exceeded acceptable limits.
