On a warm spring night, under the soft moonlight, how about walking through the secret garden holding each green lantern in your hand?

Changdeokgung Palace was the most loved by kings of the Joseon Dynasty.

The 'Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour', which marks its 13th year this year, has arrived with spring.

The Palace Relics Headquarters of the Cultural Heritage Administration announced today (12th) that it will hold the 'Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour' every Thursday-Sunday from the 21st to June 12th together with the Korean Cultural Foundation.

'Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour' is a high-quality palace experience event where you can immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere of UNESCO World Heritage Changdeokgung on a gentle moonlit night.

Moreover, this year, the Heijeongdang area, which is not open at night, is expected to be included in the moonlight tour for the first time.

Changdeokgung Palace’s Huijeongdang, a national cultural treasure, was the place where the king stayed the most and was used as the king’s office.

It was destroyed by fire in 1917, but was rebuilt in 1920 by moving the Gyeongbokgung Palace.

Although it is a traditional building, it is noticeable that Western elements such as interior decoration and entrance are introduced.

The Cultural Heritage Administration has been steadily promoting the repair and reproduction of lighting and electrical facilities in Heijeongdang and Daejojeon areas to meet today's safety standards.

As part of the construction has been completed, the modern lighting of Huijeongdang, the central hall chandelier, and the refurbished drawing room can be seen at night.

In Moonlight Tour, you can fully enjoy the atmosphere of the palace on the moonlit night with rich performances.

You can enjoy the night view of downtown Seoul while listening to the sound of a daegeum under the moonlight at Sangryangjeong, a patron of Nakseonjae.

In addition to elegant court dance, a special program 'Walk of the Royal Family - Time to meet the king and queen of the Joseon Dynasty' is prepared.

A mug and royal herbal tea are provided as souvenirs to participants in the Moonlight Tour.

This year's Moonlight Tour is to limit the number of participants to 100 per day for safe viewing and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and small groups of 25 each will move in groups.

You can reserve up to two tickets per person through Interpark Tickets from 2pm on the 14th.

However, tickets for the period from May 10 to 22, during the palace culture festival, will be sold separately for a set period.
