  On March 10, 2022, the police and soldiers of the task force divided into two groups, and arrested Wang and Xiao in a seafood restaurant in Zhuhai and Chenzhou in Hunan respectively.

Wang's fingerprints completely matched those of the suspect extracted at the crime scene. Wang and Xiao confessed to the brutal murder of Yang and his daughter.

So far, the 24-year-old homicide case has finally been solved.
