I remember the most frequent forced inspections, the weather was the coldest. On the coldest days, we all rented a lot of outdoor petroleum gas heaters and placed them on the court to add some temperature to the neighbors when they were queuing.

[Explanation] The name of the person in the picture is Li Zhifeng. He is the president of the Kowloon East District Association of Hong Kong. For several months, he has devoted himself to the anti-epidemic work in the grassroots community.

Recalling the most severe period of the fifth wave of the epidemic, he is still deeply touched.

Li Zhifeng introduced that Kowloon East is the hardest hit area under the epidemic, and forced inspections in Kwun Tong, Wong Tai Sin and other places have continued.

In the early days of the epidemic, it was rainy and cold in the spring. Li Zhifeng saw the elderly and children in the area waiting in long queues outside for testing, so he immediately called his colleagues to start a support operation.

During the forced inspection, there may be five (quarantine) stations in Kwun Tong, and some neighbors queued for a full two hours.

Because in fact, not every place in the five places has so many people, we go to count the flow of people at each station, and put it on our social platform every half an hour to let the neighbors know which place (waiting for testing) has fewer people.

We rented a tourist bus to divert the flow of people, which actually played a good role.

[Explanation] Due to the long-term support for the frontline work in the fight against the epidemic, Li Zhifeng was unfortunately infected with the new crown virus in early February this year and had to be quarantined at home.

The isolation experience made him realize the physical and mental pressure faced by citizens under the epidemic, and a new idea was born from this.

We think that many people have already done the material supply, and many volunteers have also done it. Why don't we think about whether it will be in terms of emotional support, we can go and give it a try.

So we chatted with a few friends and we hit it off.

Because several of them are professional psychologists, psychiatrists, etc., and they all agree with the idea and point of view, that is, we will set up a hotline to help our brothers and sisters in need.

Soon, many professional associations in Hong Kong have been obtained, and everyone is eager to join and help.

So we set up a hotline called "Anti-epidemic Heart Listening".

[Explanation] With the support of professionals and social groups, the "Anti-epidemic Heart Listening" hotline has become more and more extensive in handling cases for help.

From daily consultation to material help, from spiritual comfort to professional counseling... In Li Zhifeng's view, a phone call connects the helper with the volunteers, so that the isolated and helpless people on the other end of the phone feel the warmth and support from the outside world.

When he calls in, we first need to understand, what is the main problem with him?

He is infected and wants to ask some relatively simple questions, then some of the volunteers we have trained will know how to answer him.

But maybe some of them are really uneasy and have big emotional problems, so we have to transfer them to the support echelon behind us.

[Explanation] Under the epidemic situation, children are also vulnerable groups. In order to encourage Hong Kong children to be vaccinated.

Li Zhifeng and his colleagues also held activities for three consecutive days to vaccinate kindergarten students, primary school students and accompanying parents aged 3 to 12 years old.

We are all on Easter, using an Easter holiday, how can we organize some kindergartens (children) or primary school students to come to our fun venue before the (school children) start school, of course, we also meet the government's epidemic prevention regulations , Come here, one is for injections (vaccination), the second is for rich gifts, and the third also has a lot of punch-in slots, hoping to alleviate children's fears.
