The comedian Mario Barth was expelled from a train on a trip to Frankfurt am Main because he is said to have not worn his mask correctly.

With reference to the house rules of Deutsche Bahn, he had to get off in Hanau after the train attendant had called the police.

Barth then published a 45-minute video on his Facebook page in which he described the incident and announced that he wanted to take legal action.

As he explained, he only took off the mask to drink and was sitting alone in a compartment anyway.

Deutsche Bahn commented on the incident on the Facebook page humorously in the comedian's typical tone: "Masks are compulsory on our trains, you know?" Meanwhile, a spokesman for the group told the "t-online" portal that the statutory Mask duty applies.

"That also applies to Mario Barth."
