On April 9, the sun shines in the traditional village of Yangjiacao, Datianchi Village, Luoqi Town, Yubei District, Chongqing.
According to legend, Yangjiacao was the first stop for the Hubei Jute Yang family to settle in Chongqing when "Huguang filled Sichuan" more than 400 years ago, and it continues to this day.
Because the traditional villages are well maintained, mountains, water, forests, fields and lakes are readily available. The Yangjiacao Traditional Village Protection and Development Project is a typical case study project of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China to carry out village design in the countryside. It is approved that a beautiful environment and a happy life will jointly create a base.
"I didn't come with a sense of urban superiority, but fully respect the needs of the people." Hu Bin, one of the designers of the project, the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Chongqing University, said that during the reconstruction process, the interaction with the villagers was increased, and the continuous improvement was made. The plan finally shows a traditional village with strong rural flavor and simple architecture.
Yang Ming, the mayor of Luoqi Town, said that there were 78 families in the village, which had been moved out one after another.
With the progress of the project, everyone came back one after another. In the future, we will consider introducing a professional operation team. Yangjiacao's homestay is also expected to open to the public during this November.
