A German windsurfer is missing at Lake Garda.
Coast Guard and police forces have been looking for the 54-year-old man since Saturday, as the Guardia Costiera in Salò confirmed on Sunday.
The man's board was discovered during the night, but there was still no trace of the recreational athlete in the morning.
Where in Germany he comes from was not communicated on request.
In addition to helpers from the police, the coast guard and the fire brigade, several boats and helicopters are also used to locate the man.
According to the "Giornale di Brescia", he was last seen around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Then a strong wind came up over the lake, which is popular with tourists, and apparently drove the German and his board away from the shore.
