On April 9, 133 ministerial-level cadres from organs directly under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, various departments of the central state organs and Beijing came to the east of Nanhuofa Village, Zhangjiawan Town, Tongzhou District, Beijing to participate in the 2022 voluntary tree planting activity by the Minister of the Republic .
The tree planting site covers an area of about 211.2 mu, and is planned to be developed into a recreational landscape forest.
At the event site, the ministers dug holes and shoveled soil, built soil cofferdams, raised water and irrigated, and planted more than 1,100 saplings such as Huashan pine, white bark pine, Chinese locust, Luan tree, Ailanthus sinensis, mountain peach, and North China lilac.
This activity has been carried out year after year since 2002. It is the 21st time. A total of 3,484 minister-level cadres have participated, and a total of 40,530 trees have been planted.
