The newspaper "Le Figaro" published Thursday the results of a Hobby One study carried out by Vertigo Research.
It reveals that the French consume more social networks than television and that they now spend 60% of their free time in front of their screens.
Consumption that evolves according to age groups.
The French spend more than 60% of their free time in front of screens.
This figure is the result of a study released Thursday by
Le Figaro
.
The French also consume more social networks than television, according to this Hobby One study carried out by Vertigo Research.
We have an average of 6h15 of free time per day.
Over this time, outings outside the home (such as cultural outings, sports or shopping) are very much in the minority (17%).
Instead, screens occupy the vast majority (more than half) of this free time.

More time on the Playstation than on M6
Exchanges on social networks are at the top of the ranking.
All ages combined, Facebook is the most used medium, followed by Youtube.
In second place is interest in current events.
An interest which concerns especially the oldest and very little the young people: the 15-24 year olds devote barely 2.3% of their free time to it.
Television entertainment is only the third most used medium.
And it is TF1 which is the most watched on this medium.
Note that France 2 is overtaken by Netflix and Instagram.
The M6 channel even comes after Playstation, Snapchat and Tik Tok.
This consumption of screens varies according to the age of the French people: if 15-24 year olds concentrate their leisure time on platforms, video game consoles and social networks, 35-49 year olds are both on social networks and platforms like Facebook and Netflix, and on more traditional media such as TF1 and M6.
Unlike young people, those over 60 are still very attached to television: seven TV channels are in the top 10 of their main media outlets.
