Akita Prefecture and Akita City announced on the 8th that 365 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
The number of announcements for the day exceeded 300 for four consecutive days, the second highest ever after the record high of 389 on the 5th of this month.
A total of 18,681 people have been confirmed infected in Akita Prefecture.
