On April 7, the reporter visited the maintenance base of Ameco Chengdu Branch located at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.
Ameco Chengdu Branch, formerly known as Air China Chengdu Maintenance Base, was restructured from China Civil Aviation 103 Factory and Southwest Airlines Aircraft Maintenance Plant. It is the largest aircraft maintenance company in Southwest China, and it mainly guarantees Air China for Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and Tianfu International Airport in the future. Aircraft operation, and provide comprehensive maintenance services for aircraft and spare parts for nearly 100 international and domestic customers.
The base covers an area of 600 acres and has 3 independent hangars. The hangar area is 35,000 square meters, the maintenance area is 220,000 square meters, and the maintenance workshop is 23,000 square meters.
