Following a series of incidents by former president Hidetoshi Tanaka, who was the top of the school corporation, Nihon University has extended the term of director to a maximum of two terms and eight years, and the next president has never been involved in the management of the corporation. On the 7th, we summarized the response policy, such as limiting it to external human resources, and submitted it to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

At Nihon University, Hidetoshi Tanaka (75), who was the president, was convicted of tax evasion, and Tadao Inoguchi (65), a former director who was an aide to him, was guilty of taking charge of the university's business. It was an unusual situation in which he was arrested and prosecuted.

President Naoto Kato of Nihon University summarized the response policy in response to the series of incidents and submitted it to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology on the 7th.

According to this, the term of office of former President Tanaka has been extended to a maximum of 2 terms and 8 years, as the concentration of authority over 5 terms and 13 years has led to a lack of governance. All of the directors of Nihon University will retire at the end of June, and the next president will be elected from outside personnel who have never been involved in the operation of Nihon University.

Last year, the person who was a director or auditor at the time the incident was discovered cannot be a candidate for the future.

President Kato said, "Nihon University will not be possible without regeneration, so I would like to thoroughly promote reforms."
