About 6.3 million citizens who successfully registered for the plan last year will receive text messages or app push notifications.

Recently, various shopping malls, supermarkets, and shops in Hong Kong have taken the opportunity to promote discounts, hoping to benefit from the business opportunities brought by consumer coupons.

  It is reported that there are various modes of issuance of consumer coupons.

Citizens who use Alipay Hong Kong, Tap&Go "Tap & Live Rewards" or WeChat Pay HK accounts to collect consumption vouchers will receive a HKD 5,000 consumption voucher, which is valid until October 30.

Octopus recipients need to tap the card in two installments, the first installment is HK$4,000, subject to the limit of the stored value of not more than HK$3,000, and the first installment needs to be tapped multiple times.

The cumulative total of "qualified spending" from May to October reaches HK$4,000, and the final HK$1,000 consumption coupon will be issued on the 16th of the next month, but it must be reached by the end of October at the latest.

  The new round of consumer coupons plan was announced in the 2022/2023 financial year SAR government budget. The first phase of HK$5,000 consumer coupons is valid until October 31, and the second phase of HK$5,000 consumer coupons will be launched in the middle of the year.

Currently, shopping malls under Parknshop Hong Kong, city'super, cookedDeli, LOG-ON and Swire Properties all plan to launch cash coupons to attract money.
