“Umm Ali” needs medicines at a cost of 29.8 thousand dirhams

Um Ali, 60 years old, an Omani, fell into a coma in 2006, and after she was transferred to the hospital, it was found that she had high blood pressure, diabetes, weak heart muscle, and cholesterol. Simple periodic check-ups at the value of 1500 dirhams annually, and her only son (Ali) pays for all the cost of the medicines, and he spares no effort in treating her, but a year ago his salary was reduced, and he is now unable to provide treatment for her, especially since he supports a family of seven.

The medical report issued by Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City Hospital in Abu Dhabi stated that the patient needs medication worth 29,872 dirhams, which is sufficient for her for a period of six months, to control chronic diseases, and so that her health condition does not worsen.

And (Umm Ali) appealed to good people and people of merciful hearts to help her manage the cost of treatment, so that her health would not deteriorate.

(Umm Ali) recounted the story of her suffering with the disease to "Emirates Today", saying that in 2006, she was preparing lunch, and she felt very sweaty and tired, and then completely lost consciousness, and her son (Ali) rushed her to the emergency department at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City Hospital. After conducting medical analyzes and examinations, it was found that she had high blood pressure, diabetes, and a weak heart muscle.

She added that the doctor stressed the need for her to stay in the hospital, to follow up her condition intensively, and to conduct more examinations and analyzes, so that the type of disease could be diagnosed more accurately. Which contain salts, sugars and fats.

(Um Ali) continued that over the past years, her son's financial condition was somewhat stable, and he provided her with the medicines she needed on a monthly basis, but her son's situation deteriorated a lot, after his salary was reduced by his employer, which led to the accumulation of debts and financial obligations on his shoulders, He became unable to provide the medicines she needed, and she was not even able to buy medicines, which worsened her health and psychological condition.

She explained that she lives with her son (Ali), who is the sole breadwinner for his family consisting of a wife (a housewife) and five children, and he works in one of the quarters with a salary of 4000 dirhams, from which he pays the rent of the house, the installment of the bank loan, and the rest of the salary is no longer sufficient to cover the expenses and requirements of life, electricity and water bills, and does not know how to manage the costs of the monthly medicines you need.

She appeals to good people and people of merciful hearts to help her in providing the costs of therapeutic medicines.
