During the period from Qianlong to Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, among the tributes in Shexian County, except for Huimo and Sheyan, There are also 2 barrels of Wenzheng bamboo shoots, each of which is 20 jin. Therefore, Wenzheng bamboo shoots are called "gong bamboo shoots", which is not in vain.

It is said that one day Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River, passing by the ships of Huizhou merchants, smelling the strong fragrance, and then rushing over, the hospitable Huizhou merchants invited Emperor Qianlong to taste it together, Emperor Qianlong was full of praise after tasting it, and then gave it to him. "Ask the government to pay tribute to the bamboo shoots".

Since then, Huizhou merchants who are doing business abroad have brought the brand of Wenzheng Gongsun to all parts of the country, and it has also been well received by current consumers. Wenzheng Gongsun has also become a main dish of Anhui cuisine.

In recent years, based on ecological protection, Huangshan She County has consciously maintained thousands of acres of bamboo sea, established a professional cooperative of Wenzheng tribute bamboo shoots, and successfully applied for the "Wenzheng Mountain Bamboo Shoots" national geographical indication in 2016.
