Recently, in the Hedong Canteen of East China Normal University Putuo Campus, the principals, volunteer teachers and canteen staff of East China Normal University formed a "bean peeling army" to peel broad beans together.

Wei Yong, secretary of the logistics party committee of East China Normal University, told reporters: "These broad beans should be peeled off as soon as possible, so that students can taste it."

This batch of broad beans is part of the more than 15 tons of fresh vegetables donated by the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Democratic League, in addition to kidney beans, snow peas, peas and other categories.

During the critical period of the current war against the "epidemic", these "greens" are particularly precious to campuses under closed management.

"We've been peeling the broad beans after the dinner supply these two days, because I'm afraid they won't be fresh." Aunt Tong from the Hedong Canteen has been on duty since the school was closed and managed on March 13, and she is busy before 5 a.m. every year. , often at night to lie down and rest until the middle of the night.

In the past few days, the three canteens of the school have added special windows for the supply of donated materials.

The canteen chefs made salt water snacks with the peas that had just been put into storage the night before, and distributed them into small bags to give to the students who received their meals in the canteen.
