  Liang Junyan introduced that the Legislative Council has effectively dealt with a large number of agenda items that have been backlogged for a long time in 2020-2021, and passed a record 46 government bills.

  Liang Junyan said that during the annual session, the Legislative Council held a total of 49 meetings, and no member of the Legislative Council had made such an unruly act that the meeting had to be suspended or terminated, and each agenda item could be dealt with effectively and in a timely manner.

For that year alone, the Legislative Council passed a record 46 government bills, more than double the average of about 20 passed in each legislative year in previous terms.

  Leung said that during the year, the Legislative Council Finance Committee (FC) effectively performed its functions, reviewing and approving public expenditure proposals submitted by the government.

According to statistics, the Finance Committee held 48 meetings for about 127 hours.

Although the number of meetings and the number of meetings is less than the previous session, the number of financial proposals approved is the highest in the entire Legislative Council, reaching 120, and the total commitment involved in the approved projects is about HK$327.8 billion.
