This is the story of two little "warriors", Lou and Elena.

22-month-old twins who are battling leukemia, “a disease diagnosed when they were only four months old,” explains

Ouest-France

.

B acute lymphoblastic leukemia. An extremely rare case.

The twins went through weeks of chemotherapy.

And eventually received a bone marrow transplant.

Today, Elena is “well”.

But Lou's state of health still worries.

Her second visit to the twins

An association has been created and a kitty launched so that the family can get by financially.

And on Wednesday, the twins received a visit, in their house, near Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme): that of Brigitte Macron.

During the operation of the yellow pieces in February 2021, the First lady had agreed to become the godmother of Lou and Elena.

“She had already come to visit us at the Robert-Debré hospital in Paris when the girls were hospitalized.

There, she stayed for 1h30, with us”, says the mother in

La Montagne

, claiming to have “had the impression of both receiving someone important and seeing a girlfriend at the same time”.

The two women speak regularly on the phone.

An intimate encounter

“We talked about everything, about her holidays in Lezoux (Puy-de-Dôme) when she was young, the price of gasoline and the health of the girls especially.

But no politics”, she insists, specifying (in the face of criticism) on social networks “that the journalists were not present, no one knew about it apart from our parents and us.

A moment that we decided to make public, and not the other way around”.
