Akita Prefecture and Akita City announced on the 6th that it was confirmed that 336 new people were infected with the new coronavirus.
The number of announcements for the day exceeded 300 for the second consecutive day, the second highest ever after the record high of 389 on April 5.
A total of 17,970 people have been confirmed infected in Akita Prefecture.
