  China Earthquake Networks determined that an earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred at 7:50 on April 6 in Xingwen County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province (28.22 degrees north latitude, 105.03 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.

The earthquake was 22 kilometers away from Xingwen County, 71 kilometers away from Yibin City and 278 kilometers away from Chengdu City.

  According to the preliminary investigation, when the earthquake was obvious, traffic and communication were normal at present, and the disaster situation was under further investigation.

  After the earthquake, the Sichuan Earthquake Administration, the emergency response and fire rescue departments of Yibin City immediately activated the emergency response mechanism. The firefighters immediately went to the epicenter to understand the situation, and sent 3 vehicles and 21 people to the epicenter to verify the disaster situation.

  At present, the heavy-duty search and rescue team of Yibin Fire and Rescue Detachment and the surrounding earthquake teams of Gongxian, Junlian, Jiang'an and Changning have assembled in the camp.
