Yamaguchi Prefecture and Shimonoseki City announced on the 5th that it was confirmed that 301 new people were infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of 30,715 cases of infection have been confirmed in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Yamaguchi Prefecture also announced that a man in his 70s who had been infected with the new corona died on the 4th.
The death toll of infected people in the prefecture has reached 166.
