As the infection of the new coronavirus spreads among the younger generation, the third inoculation for new students has started at a university in Tokyo.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the number of newly infected people reported by local governments nationwide in the week ending 29th last month is about 280,000, and almost half of them are in their 20s or younger.

On the campus of the International University of Health and Welfare in Minato-ku, Tokyo, the third occupational inoculation began on the 5th for students enrolled this spring.

On the 5th of the first day, about 10 freshmen visited the venue, and after being interviewed by a doctor, they were vaccinated one after another.

The total number of new students is about 2,200 on five campuses nationwide, and the university is calling for students who wish to receive vaccinations by the end of this month at orientations.

The male student who received the vaccination said, "I was worried because there were strong side reactions so far, but there was little resistance because the university set up the venue. I want to live a college life. "

Mitsunori Nakata, Dean of the International University of Health and Welfare, said, "I want students to be vaccinated promptly so that they can lead a university life with peace of mind. I think the inoculation will continue even in the meantime. "
