The Tokai University Shizuoka Campus is near "Miho Matsubara" in Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City, and some students commute to school from JR Shimizu Station by bus or bicycle, but it may take 40 minutes or more due to traffic congestion. about it.


Since the new faculty will be established from this spring and the number of students will increase, the university has started to operate a school boat exclusively for students so that they can go to school by sea route that is not affected by traffic congestion.



After the flight start ceremony on the 5th, about 80 students boarded the ship and enjoyed the view of Mt. Fuji over Suruga Bay while feeling the sea breeze.

The operation of the cruise ship commissioned by the university is in charge of the operation, and it takes 20 minutes to connect the JR Shimizu station square and the platform near the Shizuoka campus.


The school boat operates seven times a day according to the class hours, and is expected to have about 120 users.
