Roads at 90 km/h, it's over in the Hérault.

This Tuesday, the Montpellier administrative court canceled the 25 orders taken by the community, regulating the maximum authorized speed to 90 km / h, for "insufficient motivation".

The justice considered that these decrees "did not specify the reasons allowing this raising, in particular with regard to the accidentality of these sections of road".

The 90 km/h limit on the portions concerned will end on June 1.

A victory “for user safety”

The administrative court of Montpellier had been seized, in October 2020, by the League against road violence of Hérault.

This Tuesday, the association welcomes this judgment.

It is a victory “for the safety of users”, confides its president, Nicolas Gou.

“And their serenity too, because the neighboring departments, Aude and Gard, remain at 80 km/h.

Drivers will no longer have any doubts about the speed limit.
