• After eighteen months of absence, Bigflo and Oli sing their France.

  • The Toulouse rappers posted this Tuesday noon the clip of "Sacré Bordel", a committed foretaste of their next album.

“Why am I uncomfortable in front of my own flag, why do I see it brandished only abroad or by fachos”.

These few words are the first of the new title of Toulouse rappers Bigflo & Oli.

After a year and a half of absence, the two brothers return with the first opus of their future album,

Sacré Bordel

.

Less than a week before the first round of the presidential election, they sign a committed text on France, the love they have for it but also everything that divides it.

In a clip of more than five minutes unveiled this Tuesday noon, they describe their France, that of a people who "love each other only after the world cups or the attacks".

They talk about its multiculturalism, its wealth but also the tensions within society or the place that everyone can find there.

"Tell me who I am, the descendant of the collaborators or the resistance fighters", question those whose three previous albums have been platinum discs.

“My France and its region are beautiful, even if it is not me that she sees in the mirror”, sings Florian, caulked in a glass cube that they moved to the Place du Capitole, in Peyragudes, Lauzerte in the Tarn-et-Garonne or in Paris to shoot their clip.

The two Toulousains evoke their Berber and Argentinian roots, the history of France, "its horrors but also its power, I am not responsible for its errors but I have to deal with its consequences", underlines Olivio.

A dive, in introspection mode, into the France they love, but also a message to those who make it up: "Instead of carrying everyone's differences, focus on everything we have in common".

"We wanted to come back with a song that is strong in meaning and important to us rather than with a light and more 'expected' song, we hope we weren't wrong", they say on their YouTube channel.
