At the aquarium in Toba City, Mie Prefecture, a baby "small-clawed otter" was released to the press and showed that it was growing steadily, such as cheerfully grabbing fish.

At the Toba Aquarium, a female baby of the world's smallest otter "Kotsumekawauso" inhabiting Southeast Asia was born in January.

When he was born, he weighed only 62 grams, but the zookeeper gave him milk and raised it, and now he has grown to about 1 kilogram.

The baby showed a healthy appearance by drinking milk from the zookeeper's hands and engrossed in eating fish such as horse mackerel and smelt.

Also, as a training to get used to the eyes, when they were moved to the aquarium for the public in a transparent case, the customers said that they were cute.

Mr. Kazuhiro Hasegawa, who is in charge of breeding, said, "The growth situation is very good and now my eyes are very cute. Please look forward to the open house."

The public release of the small-clawed otter baby is aimed at around the end of this month.
