In July last year, a 5-year-old child was left behind in a shuttle bus under the scorching sun at a nursery school in Nakama City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and died of heat stroke. Two of the nurses were indicted at home on charges of negligent fatalities.

The two people who were indicted at home were Yoko Urakami (44), a former director of Futaba Nursery School in Nakama City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and a 58-year-old nursery teacher.

According to the Fukuoka Regional Prosecutor's Office, the two were in the parking lot of the nursery school last July, and when the seven children were unloading the children from the shuttle bus they were on to go to the kindergarten, Fuyuo Kurakake (5 at that time) was in the car. He has been accused of manslaughter because he died of heat stroke after leaving it for about 9 hours.

According to the investigation so far, ▽ the former director was driving the shuttle bus alone at that time, ▽ the nursery teacher was in charge of welcoming the bus, disembarking the children, and leading them into the nursery school.

At that time, the maximum temperature was over 30 degrees Celsius, and the children could not escape from the inside of the car with the doors and windows closed by themselves, and if left unattended, there was a risk of death from heat stroke. He was distracted by the comfort of another crying child and neglected to confirm.

The prosecution has not disclosed the approval or disapproval of the two.

On the other hand, the prosecutor's office dismissed two other childcare workers who had been sent documents, saying that "there was not enough evidence to prosecute."
