A so-called living national treasure man worked on the reproduction of a national treasure craft of the Heian period, which is owned by Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara Prefecture and expresses the appearance of a golden crane perched on a silver branch, and was unveiled on the 4th.

This craft is "Kinzuru and Ginjue", which is said to have been dedicated to the Wakamiya Shrine in the precincts of Kasuga Taisha Shrine around the 12th century during the Heian period.

A replica will be made in line with the "Shikinen-sai" restoration of the main shrine at Wakamiya Shrine, and Mr. Morihito Katsura (77), a living national treasure in the field of metal engraving, will spend about eight months. I made it over.



On the 4th, Mr. Katsura and other people from Kasuga Taisha held a press conference to showcase the elegant appearance of a gold crane with a height of about 5 cm perched on a silver branch.

Mr. Katsura said, "The real thing was too small and technically difficult, but I managed to complete it."
