At 11:10 on April 3, a semi-trailer with a length of more than 20 meters spontaneously ignited at a distance of 29 kilometers from Fuzhou-Fuqing to Putian on the Shenhai Expressway. The semi-trailer was fully loaded with 8 cars. The situation at the scene was very urgent.
After receiving the alarm, the local fire department organized fire fighting forces to rush to the scene of the accident. After more than half an hour, the fire rescue personnel successfully put out the fire.
Firefighters could see thick smoke rising 1km from the scene.
After arriving at the scene, fire rescue personnel saw that the rear tire of the semi-trailer had been raging on fire. Fortunately, the car on the trailer had not been ignited by the fire, but some cars were damaged to varying degrees on the paint surface and chassis.
The fire department quickly put out the fire with two water cannons while keeping the scene on alert.
It is understood that a total of 8 MG sedans were carried on the trailer.
At the moment, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
