The Hollywood star has received another blow in the chain reaction of his slap at comedian Chris Rock at the opening ceremony of the 94th Academy Awards, in which he won the Best Lead Actor award for his movie King Richard.

The company that produced his new movie, Fast and loose, decided to stop working and filming, due to the "slap" incident, and director David Leitch withdrew from the film because of his objection to Smith's behavior at an Oscar party.

In Fast and loose, Will Smith plays a major underworld boss who has memory problems due to an accident.

In his attempt to gather clues, he discovers that he was living in a dual identity, as a wealthy leader and a CIA agent.

Sony also decided to stop filming Bad Boys 4 starring Will Smith, who received 40 pages of script ahead of the Oscars, and work on the movie was supposed to start right after the Oscars.

Regarding his new movie, entitled Emancipatio, which deals with the subject of slavery and its laws, and entered post-production, it was scheduled to be shown in the early 2022, but so far the Apple + platform has not set a date for its release and has not commented on the “slap” incident.

And this news comes after Will Smith submitted his resignation from the Academy that awards the Academy Awards, after the incident of slapping his fellow comedian Chris Rock, which caused widespread reactions.

"The list of people injured is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dearest friends and loved ones, all who were present and the global audiences at home," Smith said.

"You betrayed the Academy's trust and deprived the other nominees and winners of their opportunity to celebrate their exceptional work," he added.

"Therefore, I am resigning from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and will accept any other consequences the board deems appropriate," the Hollywood star explained.

Chris Rock had mocked Smith's wife, Jedda Pinkett Smith, referring to the 1997 movie "GI Jane" in which actress Demi Moore shaved her head.

It was not clear if Rock was aware that Jeda Pinkett Smith had an ailment that causes hair loss.

As a consequence;

The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the body that administers the Oscars, has asked actor Will Smith to leave the Oscars after he slapped co-star Chris Rock, but he refused.
