Taiyuan immediately delineated 6 closed control areas, 3 control areas, and Xiaodian District (including the Shanxi Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Area) was designated as a prevention area.
In order to ensure the medical needs of people in the closed and controlled areas, many designated hospitals have been identified locally to respond.
Yuan Tao, deputy chief of the medical administration and medical management department of the Taiyuan Municipal Health and Health Commission, introduced that Taiyuan has 2 designated hospitals in the closed area. The Huanyuan District is a maternity and children's clinic.
There are 2 designated hospitals in the control area, namely Taiyuan Central Hospital Fendong District and China Railway 17th Bureau Group Central Hospital.
At present, if the existing patients in the 2 hospitals in the control area are assessed to be eligible for discharge, when they are discharged from the hospital, they will be picked up by the community point-to-point, and the same control measures as those in the control area will be implemented.
Yuan Tao said that after contacting the medical staff in the sealed and controlled areas with medical needs, if they do not need to go out to see a doctor, the medical staff will arrange to provide diagnosis and treatment services in a timely manner; patients who need to go out for medical treatment will be sent to designated hospitals first. Experts conduct remote multidisciplinary consultations. Those who really need hospitalization and those with symptoms related to COVID-19 such as fever and emergencies will be transferred by 120 ambulance to designated hospitals for medical treatment; those without the above symptoms and non-emergency will be arranged by the Xiaodian District Prevention and Control Office Vehicles are transported point-to-point to designated hospitals for medical treatment.
Special groups such as pregnant women, infants, and patients with limited mobility can be accompanied by a person for medical treatment. After the medical treatment, the accompanying person must implement the same isolation control measures as the medical patient.
In addition, medical institutions in the prevention area will open clinics normally and receive patients in the prevention area.
Other districts seek medical treatment in an orderly manner in accordance with the "Supplementary Notice on Meeting the Basic Medical Needs of the Masses During the Epidemic Prevention and Control Period" (and Epidemic Prevention Office Letter [2022] No. 118) issued by the Taiyuan City Prevention and Control Office.
